The Opportunity
Rockville Residences responds to the need for more practical community housing in Toowoomba.
The site has been identified for its ability to support low-rise housing in an established regional community, with access to local services, infrastructure and employment areas.
The project has been structured to align with government housing funding requirements, Community Housing Provider needs and long-term asset management considerations.
Scope of Works
The approved project comprises an 88-dwelling community housing development, including:
- bulk earthworks and site preparation
- civil works and infrastructure
- open space and landscape integration
- construction of 88 low-rise dwellings
- practical dwelling configurations suited to community housing needs
- design alignment with relevant accessibility and liveability requirements
Approach
Robin Hodge has progressed Rockville Residences through the planning and development approval process.
The project is now moving through procurement and pre-construction planning, with construction targeted to commence in 2026 and completion targeted for 2028.
The project reflects Robin Hodge’s delivery model: identifying regional housing need, structuring the project pathway, aligning the right partners and progressing practical homes toward delivery.
Built Form
Rockville Residences has been designed as a low-rise housing development that reflects the established residential character of the Toowoomba region.
The built form prioritises practical dwelling layouts, private entries, outdoor space, durable materials and a scale that integrates with the surrounding neighbourhood.
Traditional construction methods and regionally appropriate design principles support long-term performance, lower maintenance requirements and practical management for the Community Housing Provider.
Outcome
Once complete, Rockville Residences will contribute 88 community homes to Toowoomba’s regional housing supply.
The project will support long-term tenancy outcomes, provide a practical housing asset for the Community Housing Provider, and contribute to greater housing stability in the local community.
For Robin Hodge, Rockville Residences reflects the type of project the business is built to deliver: well-structured, regionally appropriate housing that moves from identified need through to practical delivery.
